Jack Link's Biltong is naturally high in protein - it's made from 100% premium lean beef. It takes 229g of beef for producing 100g of Biltong. Now that’s a lot of BEEF! And that means every 100g of our Biltong contains 50g of protein! Not only that, but, our Biltong is also gluten free and made using no added sugar!

THE DIFFERENCE WITH JACK LINK'S BEEF JERKY?

Both meat snacks are made of 100% lean beef, but Beef Jerky and Biltong offer you a different taste and texture experience. Jerky is always smoked and has a sweeter taste, whereas Biltong is air-dried and crafted with spirit vinegar. Biltong also has a slower drying time.

How we craft our Biltong

Whenever you rip open a bag of Jack Link’s Biltong, you get a taste of sunny South Africa. Find out how we make our delicious Biltong.

1. SELECT LEAN CUTS

We only use quality cuts of prime beef for the production of our Biltong.

2. SEASONING / MARINADE

The beef strips are first seasoned with select ingredients and a subtle blend of herbs. It’s this unique seasoning that gives Jack Link’s Biltong its unforgettable flavor.

3. AIR DRYING

Following a traditional family recipe, the beef strips are then slowly air-dried in the traditional South African way.

4. SLICING

Finally, the strips of marinated, air-dried beef are sliced into thin pieces, creating our Biltong.
